How To Use Lead Select Intravenous: Pre-Clinical Materials
What's In It?
LSIV: Pre-Clinical materials consist of Transfer Medium (Liquid A) and Lipid Dispersion (Liquid B). These compositions are identical to those used in the LSIV: Discovery Kit but in larger volumes. The technique used to solubilize your compound is the same as for the LSIV: Discovery Kit.
How Much Transfer Medium Will I Need?
We recommend a 1 to 9 ratio of Transfer Medium to Lipid Dispersion (see table below).
Our Lipid Dispersion is available in the following sizes: 100 mL*, 500 mL and 1000 mL.
Our Transfer Media are available in 100 mL vials.

Q. What's the difference between LSIV: Pre-Clinical and the LSIV: Discovery Kit?
A. The LSIV: Discovery Kit is a small volume kit. LSIV: Pre-Clinical provides you with larger volumes of material for when you progress to further pre-clinical studies.

Q. Do I need to order any Transfer Medium? If so, how much?
A. In order to get the best results from your solubility testing, we recommend using our specially prepared Transfer Medium. For every 500 mL of Lipid Dispersion ordered, we suggest that you'll need 100 mL of TM (see table above). This will give you enough material for a 9:1 ratio of Lipid Dispersion: Transfer Medium. Please note that the 100 ml Lipid Dispersion comes with 12 mL of Transfer Medium.
Q. Is the Lipid Dispersion the same as the one used in the LSIV: Discovery Kit?
A. Yes.
Q. Are there differences in the solubilization capacity with the Lipid Dispersion in the LSIV: Discovery Kit?
A. No.
Q. Can I use solvent instead of your Transfer Medium?
A. We advise using a Transfer Medium which has been tested thoroughly and formulated for the best possible performance. The Transfer Media that we sell on ePhares.com are highly optimized and contain special transfer enhancers, so we would recommend that you use them.
